The Impact family consists of authors, speakers, musicians, artists, celebrities, experts, marketers, advocates, non-profit organizations, corporations and anyone who wants to reach the masses, gain the knowledge, tools, experience and insights necessary to drive millions of people to their ideas, programs, products and services.
This speaker presents at a One Day Intensive Event with Ken McArthur and/or does a featured presentation during the main Impact event. This speaker slot is the highest level positioning, so you need to be the best.
For Impact Events we have 3-4 Platform Speakers with a close from the platform (generally one per day) at each event.
A platform sale is a package sold from the stage (There are VERY limited slots for platform close speakers so you must offer a great package in $997 – $2,500 range.)
These speakers will have a 90 Minute Platform Speaking slot with a close during the main Impact event. Candidates for these slots need to have proven platform speaking skills and deliver solid content even for people who don’t purchase their products. If you want one of these slots you should know your close rates and be very experienced at delivering the sale.
Each event will have 5-7 Pure content speakers. These speakers have a 60 minute pure content slot, with opportunities to do a consultive close during the course of the event.
Consultive sales speakers set free consultations with potential clients and in a consultative way tailor the offering to the individual. This type of presentation works particularly well for higher ticket consulting etc. where the services and products can be closely matched with the potential client.
At some events we may include TED Style Speakers.
These presentations are designed to mimic the presentation style from TED Talks. See http://www.ted.com/talks for examples.
The presentations are 10 minutes long and consist of your best ideas worth spreading. No selling from the stage, just pure content in a ten minute format.
These presentations will flow much better if you can do them without slides and projectors, because of the setup time required to get slides up and going. While it’s possible to use them if absolutely necessary, you will be better off in a short presentation like this to do it without.
Also our TED Style Speakers are invited to participate on our expert panel each day after lunch.
Panelists do not have a presentation slot, but serve as expert advisors at the event.
Panelists serve two specific functions:
We have “Hot Seats” during each event where prospective project ideas are presented by an attendee and then discussed by the panel of experts.
During the first session on Friday morning the panelists are introduced and presented to the attendees.
On Friday right after lunch the panel listens to people pitch the panel who are interested in being on the “Hot Seat” and selects the winner and two backups.
On Saturday and Sunday right after lunch the panel listens to the winner present their project and then gives input to the presenter.
The final session of the event on Sunday afternoon is an open Q&A with the panel.
All speakers and panelists have an opportunity to sell products and services and are encouraged to make sales at the event according to the terms of the speaker agreements and all sales resulting from the event are subject to the terms outlined below.
Platform Close Speakers will make a sales presentation at the close of their presentation. Consultive Close Speakers will set appointments with attendees interested in their products and services to complete sales.
Panelists will not have a formal sales presentation to the group, but can make offers to the group in several different ways.

The Speaker/Panelist will provide offer sheets (NCR 3-part preferably) for his/her own products/courses to sell at the event. Speaker/Panelist will be responsible for product(s) shipment to the purchaser and any expense associated with the shipment.
Speaker/Panelist will offer a minimum thirty (30) day guarantee on any product/service, beginning from the date of delivery.
The Speaker/Panelist will not directly solicit attendees of the event who have not purchased Speaker’s products or services, other than for solicitations that occur during the performance of Speaker’s services under this agreement.
Speaker/Panelist agrees to present a pro-bono presentation. The Speaker/Panelist may bring guests or assistants to attend the event.
Speaker/Panelist will arrange and pay for all of his or her own travel, lodging and meals, including extra travel days before and/or after the event. MBS will not provide or book travel for the Speaker.
The income from Speaker/Panelist’s sales will be split 50/50 between the Speaker/Panelist and MBS. The Speaker/Panelist will process all orders and pay McArthur Business Systems, Inc. within thirty (30) days after the event unless other arrangements are made in advance.
Speaker/Panelist agrees to work on leads from the event and forward any additional sales income to MBS for up to ninety (90) days after the event.
MBS is in agreement with Speaker/Panelist for the purpose of recording Speaker’s presentation. It is agreed that the Speaker/Panelist will allow the recording of their presentation and hereby consents that all audio recordings, photographs and/or video from the event may be used by MBS, their assigns or successors, in whatever way they desire, including commercial products, web sites, publicity materials, published works, television and for other electronic purposes, without any compensation to Speaker/Panelist.
Except as included below, any other equipment will be furnished and funded by the Speaker/Panelist.
NOTE: Please plan to use your own laptop for presentations.
All speakers will promote the event to their entire list, both online and off line.
Live teleseminars and webcasts may be conducted to promote the event in advance. Speakers will be expected to promote and attend at least one (1) of the teleseminars or webcasts if requested.
Upon your acceptance of the Speaker or Panelist position, please sign the Speaker/Panelist agreement below, scan the signed document and e-mail it directly to firstname.lastname@example.org to hold your position.
Speakers and panelists who do not return the signed document will have to be replaced, so please get this done ASAP.
On Sunday night we will gather in the lobby at 6 PM and then go to the hotel restaurant for a networking dinner before the main event.
